Storevatnet and the areas around the lake are a beautiful mountain plateau just below Hemsedal's most famous mountain, Skogshorn. It is easy to drive to Hemsedal Ski Center, while you have the cross-country trails right outside the door. There are plenty of hiking opportunities right nearby that you can explore.
In the summer, there is a short distance to Storevatn and other smaller lakes. Marked hiking and biking trails give you plenty to choose from both on foot and by bike. There are opportunities for fishing, fishing licenses are purchased locally. For families with children, there are many opportunities both near the cabin and in Hemsedal.
