It is located on the shores of Ustevann, about 10 kilometers southwest of Geilo. Ustaoset is a popular tourist destination, both summer and winter. In the winter, Ustaoset is a popular ski and snowboard destination. Here you will find Geilo Ski Resort, Slaatta Ski Resort, and Ustaoset Alpinsenter. You can also go skiing or snowboarding in Hallingskarvet National Park, or take a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. In the summer, there are many opportunities for outdoor activities in Ustaoset. Here you can go hiking in Hallingskarvet National Park, bike the Rallarvegen, swim in Ustedalsfjorden, or visit Geilojordet, a cozy farmyard with farm animals and old houses. From the cabin door (500 m), you can easily reach Geilo's huge network of cross-country trails, over 500 km. About Geilo Geilo is one of Norway's most well-known winter destinations, but there are also plenty of activities for the whole family in the summer. No matter what time of year, you and your family will have the opportunity to experience the beautiful mountains and nature. You will find a wide range of activities; alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, summit hikes, dog sledding to name a few. In the summer, you can choose to cycle on marked trails or lift-based cycling, climbing park, river snorkeling and fishing. There are many cafes, restaurants and bars both in the ski resort and in the center, and some of the hotels have their own SPA departments. Access Geilo and Ustaoset are easily accessible both from Bergen and Oslo, follow Highway 7. Good driving conditions all year round. It is also possible to use the train with stop at Ustaoset station, close to the cabin. Worth noting Bed linen, towels and cleaning are included. The cabin is used a lot privately and is therefore only rented out to responsible tenants.

Here you can put on your cross-country skis at the cabin door, walk to the town center, or hop on the ski bus if you want to go to the ski resort. In winter, it's about 100 meters from the parking lot to the cabin. Great 60 square meter cabin with 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms sleeping up to 5 people. Geilo has a rich array of activities, a ski resort that stretches up the mountainsides on each side of the valley, connected by a free ski bus - in addition to endless cross-country skiing trails. There are sleigh rides, snowshoeing, ice fishing, water parks, bowling alleys, and a unique, lively town center with diverse shops and dining options. Vestlia Vestlia in Geilo is the perfect starting point for a relaxing holiday in Geilo. Here you have access to the fantastic cross-country ski network in Geilo, with groomed ski trails around Ustefjord, perfect for a family outing. Vestlia Resort offers a playland, bowling alleys, water parks, as well as a bar and restaurant. SkiGeilo's ski resort, which stretches across both sides of the valley, is connected by a free shuttle bus between the sides, and Vestlia is the perfect starting point. There are several children's slopes, Norway's best park area for children and youth. In summer, you can take your bike up the lift and ride down the flow trails or try the pump track located just behind Vestlia Resort. Geilo is easily accessible from both Bergen and Oslo, located approximately midway between Norway's largest cities along National Road 7, or by train to Geilo - where you can put on your skis and head straight to the ski slope.
